Lost in thoughts, Casey wandered through the last February snow on the ground, taking tons of photos. When he finally turned back to Zeke, his face was red from the cold, but his eyes were sparkling.
Zeke laughed. „Lemme guess. Of all months, you like February most?“
„It's almost spring. And I love how nature awakes again.“ Casey put his camera back into its bag. „But no, I think, I like autumn even more. Strolling through the woods when all the trees are so colorful... that's a sight a photographer will never get enough of. Last autumn I spent all my pocket money on new films. The whole house was decorated with my photos.“
When his eyes fell on Zeke's smirk, he chuckled, slightly embarrassed. „Sorry. I guess these trips into the park are pretty boring for you. I promise to hold back next time.“
„Don't do this.“ Zeke bent forward to place a fleeting kiss on Casey's cold nose. „I love seeing the world through your geeky eyes, and I can't wait to go to my grandfather's cabin with you in September. I bet autumn at the lake will be a new experience for both of us.“
