Casey grabbed his glass with the dubious looking liquid again; it was a hot day and he was thirsty; when suddenly someone stepped behind him. „I have heard you are looking for a place called Thunder Mountain?“

Instantly agitated, he put the glass back on the wooden counter, turning around. „Yes, we do. Do you know anything about it?“

„Is there a reason why you want to go there?“

„Is there a reason why you want to know?“

The big guy chuckled slightly, stretching out his hand. „Name is Kurdy; looks like we need to trust each other.“

„Hey, time to get up.“

Smith frowned reluctantly, but then, recognizing Kurdy's voice, he suddenly felt wide awake. „What are you doing here?“ He paled. „Oh, no, you are infected, too? “

„Calm down.“ The big guy put his hand on Smith's shoulder. „I'm fine, and so you are.“

„What's this supposed to mean? The fever, the pain...“

„Only a heavy infection, nothing that did kill you.“

Still feeling dizzy, Smith blinked. „I will live?“

Kurdy smirked. „Seems as if I'm not getting rid of you so easily. C'mon, partner, time to go back to work!“
