Zeke watched Casey sprawled out on the old couch in his garage, and his heart beat quicker. It was strange to feel like this, but never before had he realized how hot the boy looked in his geeky outfit. Suddenly Casey seemed to feel the eyes resting on him. He put his beer back onto the table and grinned. „What?“
„You are drunk.“
„Only a tiny bit tipsy.“ The grin deepened, and so did Zeke's heartbeat. „And it feels good.“
„Yeah?“ Probably not the best idea, but Zeke bent forward to place a fleetingly kiss on his lips. „I know what feels even better.“
Casey didn't push him away in shock, but he frowned slightly. „What are you doing,“ he asked.
„What do you think? Isn't it that what you are secretly dreaming about?“
„I don't know.“
„I do! You did watch us last week, Jason and me, under the bleachers. And you did like it, didn't you?“
Now Casey sat up straight, blushing visibly. „You... you knew,“ he stammered, his blue eyes wide open.
„Yupp.“ Zeke smiled slightly. „And it was hot. Did you jerk up secretly later?“
„Good God, Zeke!“
„No need to be ashamed of it. If you feel like that, you feel like that. It can be fun, you know.“ Zeke pulled him back into his arm for another kiss. A bit more demanding this time, and even though it was obvious that Casey was inexperienced, he opened his lips willingly, groaning slightly. Zeke's thoughts were doing somersaults; this was new, different from all he had ever done, but for whatever reason...
Suddenly Casey stiffened, knocking him back. „Stop! No!“
Zeke blinked, confused; he hadn't read the sights wrong, right? Lust and want were sparkling in Casey's eyes. „Too quick? Sorry. I didn't mean to...“
Casey chuckled nervously. „No, it was... okay. You did nothing wrong. It's just... I am not like Jason or the others you... you meet at the clubs every Friday.“
Zeke stared at him with a mixture of surprise and shock. „The clubs?“
„The clubs,“ Casey repeated and shrugged. „You try to keep it secret, but I have already known about it for quite a while." A shy smile sneaked on his lips. „Don't worry, the dumbheads at school are blind to it; they would never suspect that you... are like that.“
Slowly Zeke calmed down again. „It doesn't mean anything at all,“ he said. „Just some shallow sex.“
The smile on Casey's face vanished. „Yeah, I know. Life is all just a game for you. But I am not like that. I can't be together with you tonight and tomorrow, it is as if nothing has happened at all. I wish I could, but...“ He got up from the couch, grabbing for his jacket. „Now it gets embarrassing. I guess I should better go. See you on Monday at school.“
Before Zeke could react, the garage door fell close behind him; for a moment, he could still hear his footsteps on the stairs, then he was gone. Leaving him behind alone, with his heart still beating wildly. For a split of a second, he felt the urge to run after him. Holding him back, telling him that he was wrong. Yes, Zeke didn't care about most of the guys he was together with, nor about the girls at school, he used to flirt with every day. But he cared about Casey. Much more than he was willing to admit. Because, the rebel and the geek from school, this would not be very smart.
He took another can of beer out of the fridge; turning on the music on full blast. It had been only a moment of ridiculous weakness. He would get over it. A large sip of the cold beer. Of course, he would.
