Feeling tired, Celeste put her black cape aside, brushing her hair out of her face. It had been another long day for the magical healer; a lot of monsters, a lot of hard fights. But today they had been lucky. Some minor injuries, nothing serious though. Probably one could call it a good day.

Then her eyes fall onto Ginger. She was much too young to be a warrior; she should go to school, meet a young man, she should laugh and dance. But the circumstances had turned all their lives around. The only chance for the world to survive this monster invasion was to fight them whenever it was necessary.

Ginger never complained but did what needed to be done. And she did an excellent job; with her golden cannon gun, almost bigger and heavier than she was, she was well known all over the world. The other warriors had long stopped to put her courage in question. Even the monsters in their darkest caves showed her some respect.

Celeste stepped closer, watching the young woman cleaning her weapon; almost caressing her hand moved quickly over the shiny metal. „You should have some rest now,“ Celeste said, and Ginger looked up, smiling slightly. „I will rest when the job is done; when the monsters are gone, and the world is free again.“
