„Smith?!“ Erin stopped when she noticed a shadow cowering in the twilight under the steel stairs. „Is this you? What are you doing there?“

The small figure shrugged. „The bustling activity in the Mountain is just too much at the moment.“

Erin nodded; yes, she could understand this. Smith was not a very sociable guy, and to be locked into the Mountain for days because of the heaviest summer storm in ages, was challenging for everyone. „I could need some rest, too,“ she said. „Maybe you will join me? Have some tea in my room. We could chat a bit.“

Smith huffed slightly. „Better not. You won't like what I have to say.“

A shudder was running down her spine; it was not the first time that the little guy talked about mysterious prophecies, and no one took them all too seriously. So, why couldn't she get rid of the feeling that this time it would be different?
