„You can't hide it from them forever,“ Zeke said. „We share an apartment for almost six months now, and your parents still think you are living at a student's dorm on the campus. What will you do when they come to visit you one day?“
Casey shrugged, looking unhappy. „I would rather face an alien queen again than to tell them that I'm gay. It will turn their whole world around.“
Zeke smiled, putting an arm around his shoulder.“I know, you are brave enough for both of it. C'mon, get over it, and finally call them. They love you; I am sure they won't bite your head off.“
Sighing deeply, Casey grabbed for the phone. Of course, Zeke was right, he had kept putting it off for much too long already. It was just that he didn't know how to tell his parents without disappointing them so much. The last he wanted.
„Hey mom.“
„Casey, how are you doing?“ Her voice cheery as ever.
„I'm fine. Mom, I need to talk with you and dad. Ähm... I would like to come home next weekend, is this okay?“
„You know, you are always welcome. Will Zeke come with you?“
„Zeke?“ Casey paled involuntarily.
„Well, I guess it's because of him? We were already wondering when you will tell us that you two are a couple for quite a while already.“ His mother laughed slightly. "Don't worry, I'm curious finally to get to know him."
