„Uncle Bobby,“ Sam asked. „Why do you hide the truck?“
He put the newspaper down, looking at the little boy who was playing in front of the fireplace. „What truck?“
„The blue one in the barn.“ Sam's eyes sparkled curiously. „It's cool; Dean says, it's a classic, and one day he will restore it.“
Bobby frowned slightly; he should have known it that a padlock at the door would not stop two young boys. „You and Dean, you will stay away from the barn,“ he said in a stern voice. "The truck is not a playground."
Sam blinked. „It's dangerous?“
Bobby hesitated only shortly; the whole truth might be too much for little Sam, but a warning was needed. He didn't grow up in a normal world, and he needed to learn always to be on the watch. „The truck is possessed by a ghost; tries to hurt people. But don't worry, I will find a way to stop it.“
„Can it hurt Dean?“
„Not if he stays away from the barn.“ Bobby noticed a nervous flickering in Sam's eyes. „Wait! Where is Dean?“ Without waiting for an answer, he rushed outside, over the yard, and reached the old barn in time. Dean had just managed it to open the lock, tried to pull the big doors aside.
When Bobby grabbed for his arm, he jerked around, disappointment in his eyes. „I should have known it,“ he huffed, „Sam is such a baby. He can't keep any secret to himself.“
„This baby, Dean,“ Bobby growled while locking the door again,“ just saved your life. How can you be that stupid? Think twice before following your wishes; never forget that the evil always tries to mislead you.
C'mon, into the house; we need to talk seriously.“
