While struggling to retain his composure Casey was looking for the right words. „No! No, no, no! Zeke, you can't buy me a computer.“
„Why not? It's your birthday, and you need a new one. It's impossible that you go to MIT with your oldtimer.“
Feeling somehow lost, Casey sighed. „A trip to Columbus to watch the newest Bruce Willis movie would have been okay for my birthday,“ he said. „A computer is too much. I can't accept this because it doesn't feel right. I'm not together with you, because you own a shitload of money.“
Zeke put an arm around his shoulder, pulling him closer. „Sometimes, I regret it that I've ever told you about the money my parents send me every month,“ he said, placing a gentle kiss on his cheek. „But believe me, I can live without it. I just enjoy it, to spoil you a bit now and then.“
„With the newest high tech computer? Zeke, you don't get the point.“
„All I know is that you will go to Boston soon, and most of the time, we will only be able to talk on the phone. Or you will accept the computer, and we can video chat as often as we want.“
Casey thought about his words and finally calmed down a bit. „Oh. Yeah, that's a good argument. But I'm sure MIT has computers at their library for the students to use.“
„Sure.“ Zeke smirked. „I can already picture us chatting about the weather in Massachusetts, with lots of other students around. Sounds like fun.“
„That's a problem, yes,“ Casey agreed. „We will have to find an answer to this. Though sometimes I think it would have been so much easier if I would go to college in Ohio.“
„No way! A genius is not visiting any old city college.“
„Thanks.“ Casey laughed. „And what's with your brilliant mind? Why do you insist on staying here in Herrington instead of making use of it?“
„Don't know where I should go.“
„Stupid. To Boston, maybe? This would be the easiest answer to all our problems. We wouldn't even need a computer anymore for chatting.“
