He unplugged his earphones to ask: „It's almost midnight, what are you doing here?“ „I tried to call you several times, and when you didn't answer the phone, I started to worry,“ Doctor Glassman answered, „but I am glad to see that you already settled into your new apartment.“

Casey pulled the face; while all the girls were around Zeke again like bees around flowers, all he could do, was to watch him secretly. He was the best looking guy at prom night in his plain denim and the mundane, longsleeved shirt while all the others were wearing expensive suits. Zeke had never given much about rules, he was a rebel who used to do things in his way; one of the reasons why Casey was fallen in love with him.

Yearningly his eyes were wandering through the darkness; somewhere close was a little farm where he would find warmth, a comfortable place to rest and maybe a hot soup. But God had told him to stay here, in the middle of nowhere, and there was no way that he would refuse to follow his command.

„We could go into the cafeteria, see if they still have some pancakes,“ Claire suggested; Shaun thought about this for a while, but to her relief, he finally relaxed and agreed: „The pancakes in the cafeteria are good, and I am hungry.“
