Jason stared out the window; the world outside had turned into an endless winter wonderland, and still more snow was falling. „That's not fair,“ he murmured.

Zeke smiled. „Hey, so much snow means that school is canceled for the rest of the week, and I won't have to go to work. This will give us a lot of fun time together.“

„But Dad won't come home today.“

„I'm afraid he won't,“ Zeke agreed. „The airports are closed, too.“

Jason sighed. „That's not fair,“ he repeated. „We wanted to go to the Christmas Market this weekend, and now I can't even build a snowman in the garden with him.“

„But we can have hot cocoa with marshmallows and bake some waffles,“ Zeke tried to cheer the little boy up. „We can play Clue and watch some cheesy Christmas movies. How does this sound?“

„Okay.“ Jason shrugged. „But without Dad, it will be just half the fun.“

„I know.“ Zeke pulled him into his arms. „I miss him, too.“
