Title: Sincere Apology
Character: Eli Moskowitz
Word Count: 216
Prompts: champion
Written: 19.03.2023
:::
Before entering Miyagi-do, Eli hesitated, well knowing how he had treated his former friends during the last weeks. How would they react when he turned up at their dojo again; would they understand, forgive him, or would they ask him to leave and never return? For a while, it had felt too good to be the secret champion of Cobra Kai, to feel the pleased eyes of sensei Kreese resting on him after the great fight with the 'enemies.' He was Hawk, a superman, not the pathetic loser any longer who got bullied and insulted all day long.
He had closed his eyes from the fact that he was one of the bullies now, without any honor and mercy. Until the encounter with sensei Lawrence had reminded him of the beginnings; he had made him the guy he was today, with strictness and harshness sometimes, yes, but he had refused to give him up even when he failed, had encouraged him like no one else did before; and suddenly Eli had known where he did belong to.
Still unsure, he pulled the door open. Sensei Lawrence was there, side by side with Sensei Larusso, and he couldn't hide his smile when Eli stepped in. „Mister Moskowitz,“ he said. „Come over here, show us your newest skills.“
