Title: Ice Cream
Character: Raphael Solano, Jane Villanueva
Word Count: 196
Prompts: cream
Finished: 19.09.2021
:::
Even if it did hurt, Raphael couldn't stop watching Jane sitting together on the bench with Michael, sharing a cone with ice cream. Something she had never done with him. She looked so relaxed, so happy. And once again, Raphael felt a lump growing in his throat. Wondering if he had the right to hold her. Though he loved her, with all his heart, in a way, he had never loved before.
Of course, he had loved Petra before discovering that she betrayed him in more than just one way. Yes, it had hurt him, but it had not broken his heart; after the divorce, he just did move on with his life.
With Jane, it was different. She had turned his world around, had even given him the son he had thought he would never have. He had felt ready to lay the world at her feet. But it wasn't that easy.
His eyes still rested on Jane and Michael; obviously, he was not the one who could make her laugh in the way she laughed with Michael. Maybe it was the best to let her go. But how could he move on without her?
