Casey sighed, staring after the boy who rushed down the bleacher's stairs. Stokely chuckled.
„What?“ He turned to her, frowning.
„You and Zeke, you are acting like idiots. Though it could be so easy.“
„Sure it could,“ Casey huffed. „When he would stop acting like one. He's a mystery to me. Sometimes he can be so nice, but then, out of the blue, he turns back into the asshole he used to be before the alien incident.“
Laughing, Stokely shook her head. „How can it be that the most brilliant guy from school can't see what's obvious.“
„What are you talking about?“
„He has a crush on you! And you are the only one who doesn't notice.“
„What???“ Casey coughed, trying to hide his suddenly hot and probably deep red face. „This is bullshit! Everyone knows that Zeke is the biggest heartbreaker from school.“
„Lots of rumors, none of it proven. I guess it was all just a show; he had a rep to lose.“ Stokely shrugged. „This alien shit has changed a lot, and he might be ready now for the truth. You only have to make the first step and show him that you don't mind.“
„I don't mind what?“ Casey's voice was shaking slightly.
„Boys!“ Stokely rolled her eyes. „Idiots, like I said. You already have an eye on him from the moment you saw him first. Probably, it was wise to hide it; back then, it would have only caused even more trouble for you. But now... you are the superheroes who saved the world. You can do whatever you want, and no one will blame you. So, why not grab the chance?“ She paused, rolling her tongue around in the mouth. „You know, you and Zeke, together, you would rock the world.“
