Casey stared out of the window. How much he hated this time of the year. Grey clouds, rain all day long, windy and cold. Desperately he longed for some warmth. The sunny days of spring, the smell of flowers in the air, the birds singing in the cherry tree in front of his window.
He would grab his camera, going to the park nearby to take tons of photos. He would take a book with him; sitting on a bench, he would read for hours, maybe enjoying the first ice cream of the year.
Casey sighed silently. Soon, he thought, soon enough, his life would be much brighter again.
