With his heart beating wild, Casey was lying on his bed, fully dressed, the blanket pulled up to his chin. He listened to the muted sounds in the hallway. His mom already went to bed about one hour ago, and his father was ready to follow her right now.

Only 30 minutes, then it would dare to steal away, putting every thought aside what would happen if they caught him. No question, they would not be amused. There were strict rules in the Connor's home, and sneaking out of the house after midnight for a secret trip with the school's most famous rebel was for sure a crime that would end with the harshest penalties.

But did he care? To be honest, no. All he could think about at the moment was that Zeke Tyler had invited him to a trip into the unknown in his GTO tonight, and even Casey wasn't sure what to expect; this would be the adventure of his life he had never dared to dream about before.
