„I need your help!“
Kurdy looked up from his book; the little guy in front of him looked more stressed than usual. „What's happened,“ he asked, though he wasn't sure if he really wanted to know. Smith's strange prophecies had gotten him into trouble already more than once.
„The skinheads. They are getting closer to Richmond.“
„Oh, that.“ Kurdy relaxed a bit. „Yeah, they are indeed a pain. But Markus already has an eye on it. He will know to stop them when they get even closer to the farms. No need to worry.“
„You don't get it. They have surrounded the convent.“
„A convent? What are you talking about?“
„The old convent near Richmond. Sister Hannah has been living there for a while. I already tried to get through to her, but the skinheads have sentries everywhere. Someone needs to help her, or she won't make it through the next weeks.“
Kurdy felt uneasy when he suddenly noticed tears in Smith's eyes. „Why is she still living there? The area isn't safe for quite a while already,“ he asked angrily.
„She can't go anywhere. She is... old.“
„What's this supposed to mean. Old?!“
„Very old. She did survive the Big Death.“
„That's impossible.“ Kurdy shook his head. „All adults died from the virus fifteen years ago.“
Smith shrugged. „She didn't. God had decided to spare her life because he had a plan for her. To save the future of the children. The convent is a school now; thirteen children of all ages live there. And they all will have to die if you don't help them.“
„Shit!“ Kurdy cursed. Hard to believe that no one in the Mountain knew about this place's existence. But if Smith was right, and there was no reason to put his words into question, a quick intervention was required. „This is nothing we can deal with alone. We need to talk with Markus. This means war with the Skinheads.“
