„What are you doing,“ Zeke asked, watching Casey stuffing some books into his backpack.
„I need some time for myself.“
Zeke blinked, trying to ignore his uneasiness. „Because of this stupid fight? C'mon, that's a bit over the top.“
Finally, Casey turned around to look at him. „You know, it was more than a little argument. We do fight much too often lately.“
„That's not a reason to run away. Isn't it you who always wants to discuss things thoroughly?“
„Maybe it's just too much at the moment. The stress at MIT, my parent's divorce. I need to get a clear head again.“
„Where will you go? Maybe I can give you a ride?“
„No, thanks, I've already booked a bus ticket to Idaho.“
„Your grandma?“
Casey nodded. „Yeah. I can't imagine a better place to come to rest. I did spend there the best times of my childhood.“
Zeke bit his lower lip; he couldn't help it to ask. „But you will come back, right?“
Casey looked at him for a moment before smiling. „You know me, I'm a stubborn guy, and giving up my dreams so easily is not my thing.“
