It had been planned as a nice weekend trip to the woods in Idaho, but now they were stranded at a shabby motel in the middle of nowhere because of a stupid storm.
Zeke was lying stretched out on the bed, smoking, though a sign at the wall told that this wasn't allowed, zapping through the TV program. Casey sat at the small table in front of the window, trying to build a card house out of old cards someones had left behind here a long time ago. „Shit!“ He sighed deeply when the building broke down once again. „This is so annoying; I should be outside, taking the last photos for my application letter at art school. I can't see any reason, why we have to stay here.“
Zeke pointed at the grey sky and the trees rocking in the wind. „Because your mom would kill me if I would put you into any danger. C'mon, calm down. Tomorrow is another day.
Wanna play cards to pass time?“
Casey pulled his face. „Already my grandpa knew that Gin Rummy is one of the most boring games ever.“
„I could teach you Poker, the game for the bad boys.“
„Yeah, I bet you would like this. And each time I lose I have to strip off a part of my clothes.“
Zeke laughed. „Sounds like fun. But trust me, if I want to see you naked, I would ask you.“ He looked him up from head to toe. „Hmmm... would you mind?“
And Casey knew that he was blushing deeply.
