Title: The Accident
Character: Kurdy Malloy, Mr. Smith
Word Count: 272
Prompt: groan
Rating: PG
:::
„Hey, careful!“ Smith put his hand on the sturdy shoulder of the big guy on the ground. "You were unconscious for a while."
Kurdy tried to open his eyes; his view only blurred; his head throbbed as if it wanted to burst the next moment. He groaned. „What the hell happens?“
„Burst tire, the jeep tumbled down the slope.“
„Fuck,“ Kurdy cursed, trying to sit up again. This time he succeeded, though the world around him was still rocking up and down. He forced himself to even his breath and to sort out the situation. „The radio set?“
„Doesn't work.“
„Great! So we will have to walk back to the Mountain through the woods. Still some miles, but we could make it before midnight when we start right now.“
Smith shook his head. „You won't go anywhere tonight.“
„What...“ Kurdy narrowed his eyes but stopped when he noticed Smith's eyes resting on his left leg. Some blood. The food swelled like a balloon. A sharp pain rushed through his body when he tried to set it up. Shit! No!
„Could be worse. It's broken, but nothing that the doc at the Mountain can't cure.“
„When we ever make it back," Kurdy hissed and wished this strange little guy would just shut up.
„God says there is no need to worry. Someone will come and find us."
Groaning, Kurdy closed his eyes. A nightmare! Hopefully he would wake up soon in his comfy bed at the Mountain, and all this would turn out as a horrible nightmare. But he knew this would not happen.
