Daryl's eyes rested on Beth, who was sitting beside the campfire with baby Judith in her arms. She looked so small, almost fragile, while humming an old lullaby to soothe the little girl. Hard to believe that only some hours ago, she had shot two walkers right into their heads to make sure that they would never come back again to threaten the people she cared for.
Suddenly, she looked up; for a moment, their eyes met, and she smiled shyly. Daryl felt his heart beating quicker. And he knew he would put his life into her hands without hesitation.
