Title: It's a birthday

As ever, Piper tried to ignore her, when Alex stepped closer. Being imprisoned for over a year was still hard; she had had a life, a good running business, and a loving fiance. But her past had finally caught up with her and brought her here, where she met Alex again.
Alex, the woman she had thought to love once. But she had been young, too young, and when she finally realized that Alex was only using her, it had been too late.
„Happy birthday,“ the still so familiar voice whispered.
Piper narrowed her eyes; the last she wanted to get reminded of today. „Why don't you just leave me alone?“
„Because I still love you.“ Alex placed a small box on the table. „Thought you might like this.“
Piper jumped up. „What do you think,“ she snarled, sweeping the box off the table with a flick of her hand. „First you bring me into trouble, then you blow me out, and now you are talking about love again? I am done with you! Done!“
Alex smiled slightly. „When you are ready to stop fooling yourself, I am here,“ she said, slowly turning back to her own table.
