Slightly frowning, Bobby watched the Winchester boys who stayed with him at his scrapyard once again, while John, their father, was on a hunt. Usually, Sam was the quiet one, who avoided every fight, while Dean always tried to protect his little brother. Today though, wee Sam had clenched his fists, and his voice was loud, almost angry. „I've seen it,“ he yelled. „I've seen it. We need to tell uncle Bobby.“
„Uncle Bobby has better to do,“ Dean answered, „than to care about this idle talk, stupid.“
And Bobby decided that it was time to step in. „Boys? What's going on here?“
Sam jerked around, tears in his eyes. „You need to listen, uncle Bobby, I'm not a liar,“ he sniffed.
„No, you're just a dumbhead who's talking shit!“
„Dean, that's not nice. What is it, Sam?“
„He says, he has seen an invisible monster, who's behind dad,“ Dean declared. „But that's ridiculous. How can he see an invisible monster?“
Bobby's eyes rested on Sam, he could see the panic inside him, even if he desperately tried to fight it, and he sighed inwardly. They both were much too young for all this, even if Dean would never admit this. All the horror they had to face every day anew. He himself was a hunter since ages, and even he sometimes has his problems to deal with all this.
He grabbed some dollars from the fridge, holding them out to Dean. „Hey, I think you can need some new comics, why don't you go to the gas station, grab some?“
„Cool, thanks.“ Dean grinned wide because of this unexpected offer.
When he rushed out of the door, Bobby turned back to Sam, putting a hand onto his shoulder. „So, now tell me more about this monster. How does it look like?“
